Susan Sarandon's love for depressing roles

Susan Sarandon's love for depressing roles
American actress Susan Sarandon has revealed that she relishes roles in depressing movies-as she loves cheering up her co-stars onset.

The Thelma & Louise actress has done a string of dark, gritty parts including a prison-visiting nun in 'Dead Man Walking'and the mother of a seriously-ill child in 'Lorenzo's Oil.'

"The more depressing it is the more fun I am to work with, because I can't bear the idea of not having a good time, so Lorenzo's Oil was a laugh riot," the Daily Express quoted her as telling Stella magazine.

"I think you need to have a respite and anything that is really extreme becomes funny," she added.
