Shame on those who are scared or pessimistic. All you people do is to gaze at the sky and wait for the stars to fall.
If you are so scared - how will u raise your children? What will u teach them? Cowardice? Will U teach them to run away from issues? Will u teach them how to not cooperate?

Just curious, how come there are some pending aplications in the year 2008 and 2009 where there were no VISA BULLETIN with those years. How they filed without Bulleting entries? Got point? or Am I missing some thing?

I received a phone call (WOW!) from a sweet lady from CIS Ombudsman's office. I sent letters to his office and in the letter I mentioned my cell #. Anyway she wants a real person who got deniel. I told her that my friend got deniel (IVens are my fried). Anyway, she sent an email too after I asked her to give her info so that my friend can send her his case details. Unfortunately, the email I received shortly after the conversation, looks like general and does not have her ID. Please PM me if you like to hear more about the phone call.

Thank you for your correspondence to the Office of the Citizenship and Immigration Services Ombudsman (CIS Ombudsman).
We greatly appreciate your comments regarding issues concerning the American Competitiveness Act in the Twenty-First Century Act of 2000 (AC21) processing at the service centers. As we have received several inquiries such as yours, we are currently discussing these issues with USCIS and reviewing their policies and procedures regarding adjudication of these petitions.
If you have evidence of a specific I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status case that you feel was erroneously denied due to USCIS not adhering to AC21 guidelines, we kindly ask that you please immediately forward us a case problem request, including a copy of your denial notice, detailed information as to the reasons for the immediate denial, and, if appropriate, evidence that you have submitted a Motion to Reopen or Reconsider.
Instructions for completing a DHS Form 7001 (case problem) can be found on our website: http://www.dhs.gov/ximgtn/programs/editorial_0497.shtm#10.
Please submit your case problem and supporting documents via email to cisombudsman@dhs.gov or via facsimile to 202-357-0042 with the subject AC21 Evidence of Immediate Denial.
Thank you for your cooperation.
Sincerely,
CIS Ombudsman

Thank you gc4me for sharing info.
Its very good that they are taking notice of the issue. It would have been great if their follow-up email had some more details but in any case please share any info (like phone number your received call from) with pd_recapturing - he is culling info together from the people who are really affected.
If anyone else receive similar call - please try to get their direct contact details (it might help in our next steps being co-ordinated by chanduv, pd_recapturing, itsnotfunny and a bunch of other volunteers).

I'm wondering if these figures actually provide ammo for people who claim that H1b is driving down salary. A $50k median starting and a $60k median is not that great.
Median salary for H1B in computer related occupations: $60,000
Median salary for H1B in computer related occupations for initial employment: $50,000
Median salary for H1B in computer related occupations for continuing employment: $68,000

I cannot ask my colleagues to sepnd 30 minutes on phone, but I can certainly ask them to send e-mails. They helped me during admin-fix letter campaign and they are all US citizens.
Can someone prepare a draft for such e-mail along with all the e-mail addresses and post here?
I can target 15 e-mails by Tuesday.
this is GREAT idea. support fom US citizens will add lot of weight in our favor

Yes the people who were able to get their companies open offices in the states where the approval times were faster were smarter than me! Because I believed in the system and they did not.

"Provide safeguards for visa holders so they know their rights under the law. This would include wage rates and access to benefits."
What benefits are they talking about here?? As far as I am concerned, H1B visa holders have to no benefits... we pay SS taxes, federal taxes, Medicaid, state etc. As soon as we loose our jobs we are told we have a couple of days to leave the country - even when we have been here for years. What an inhumane way to treat a tax payer.
he hee... you are dreaming too much. If you are not paid properly the DOL will help you get your wage. Nothing else.

It is about donation, not Haptaa-vasooli.....
So, before taunting anyone you should understand the meaning of "Donation".
People are not contributing for Advocacy day and they will contribute to hire the octopus ??

Of the additional visa numbers available after EB3 ROW uses it, max how many can be allocated to India and China EB2 is the question.......? Can someone answer this based on the max limit per country and per category???
Spill over does not have any country limit. they will allocate it untill it becomes current or numbers running out.

As per my knowledge, one can't file I485 application until and unless priority date is current. How come this report is showing 485 application count of EB2 after Aug 2007 priority dates.
As per FAQ's (RED text in above post) these numbers are based on priority dates

Everyone, please use this thread for directions and SEND FLOWERS NOW (http://immigrationvoice.org/forum/showthread.php?t=6191)if you havent already done that.
The more the number, the more the media attention. Trust, me, the more media attention this gets, the more likely are chances of getting heard in congress.
The objective here was never to melt Gonzalez's heart with flowers. The media attention is precious and only YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE by sending flowers.

I spoke all the the reps that someone posted not on this list.
To add to the list of sponsors/co-sponsors, Congress Debbie Schultz is a co-sponsor for the bill (so don't call asking for support, but you can call to appreciate their efforts).
I think it would be better to keep it brief. They don't have time, and we can't spend lot of time, or else we won't be able to call all of them. It took me 30 minutes to call all of them.
I read somewhere that Steve King is not supportive, infact he's opposed to this bill. So it would be wise not to call his office. I don't he'll change his stance 'coz he's part of numbersusa/other nut cases.
Also note the phone number of Robert Scott is wrong, it shows the phone number of Adam Schiff. I realized only after I called twice. but luckily I realised before I could go through the whole talking points.
Pls everyone call before its too late. we need to get this passed as this is our only hope. PLS CALLLLLLL!!!

Thanks guys .... for coming behind me .. Shane Warne or Purple Haze won't satisfy you guys .. Y dont we discuss how Kanimozhi's discontent couldn't play spoil sport for the new govt and how Azhagiri got cornered with chemicals and fertilizers (these 2 are not any interntaional fame for an american 'tunnel rat' to know abt them).
Above all I am here to get some information to bring a company which violates rules to authorities, nothing more nothing less and not here to do any name calling of mud slinging.
l1fraud. L1s cannot be hosted at client site when the client site manager has supervision on him/her.
ICE has a historically poor track record on enforcing H1b/L1 rules. Only lately there has been on enforcement on the H1B rules. All that one can do is complain to USCIS / ICE
etc but they don't do anything then you may have to talk to you senator/congressman etc. Sometimes senator/congressman are also non cooperative.
Let alone L1, even B1 visa is used like a short term work permit by many IT companies including American IT companies

Below are the list that I have from my lawyer to prepare my I-485 :
1. for Evidence of status you need a Copy of Last Entry I-94
non immigrant arrival/departure record, showing your admission
to the US and current status. (Front and back, make sure the date is
clear to see)
2. To show that you are always in status while you are in US you will need
Copies of all immigration related documents from USCIS
(such as I-20, OPT, H1B, H4 approval notice, or other status)
3. Copy of Birth Certificate
(need translate & notarize if not in English)
4. Copy of Marriage Certificate if you are married
(need translate & notarize if not in English)
5. Copy of Passport pages with non immigrant visa
(including all passports you have used since the last entry you need to
copy all the stamp you had on the passport. Again this is to show the
last time your in you US and to make sure you are always in status)
6. I-693 (Medical Exam)
(You can dial 1-800-375-5283 to choose the physician list)
you will required to show a proof that you have take MMR, Varicella, Tetanus and hepatitis B
if you can't show any proof they will required you to take it on their office and it will cause you quite a lot money ( you can take
the vaccine earlier on your family/ regular dr. office and could get covered by you insurance) it could save you $300 per person.
the mandatory test you have to take at their office is tb test, blood test
for HIV and syphilis and regular phisical test. once you have all vaccine
and the mandatory test they should gave you the seal envelope to send to USCIS along with your other document and they will give you a copy as well.
7. If you apply for your family member you will need
I-134 (Affidavit of Support) stamp by Notary for each family member
8. Employment Verification Letter
Employement letter on the letter head of the petitioning employer
which confirms that the job on which visa petition is based is still
available to you. The letter must also state the salary that will be paid.
9 . Photos (2*2 color front-view passport photos)
*2 for each I-485, additional 2 for each I-131,
additional 2 for each I-765
10 Fee Payment made to USCIS (1 per applicant)
$325 for each I-485 filing fee
$70 for each Fingerprint fee
$170 for each I-131 filing fee (if apply for Advance Parole)
$180 for each I-765 filing fee (if apply for Employment Authorization) .
Hope this list is help for those who is ready preparing their document.

Chairwoman Zoe Lofgren one tough letter bring us to this point Or You may be correct but I will prefer USCIS say standard text to congress rather pretending nothing wrong happening. In this process, I get a case# and person to follow. She said if you are not able to get RN in 30 days contact me. She will make efforts so I get RN in 30 days(dreaming for RN, never thought, i will come to this point). Anyway, It's a process and better than lame excuses from USCIS. Atleast my 30 days counter started with painful wait. Last but not the least, even if didn't get any success with process, atleast I have satisfaction I tried and failed. :)
What action do we expect on our letters/faxes to Congressmen, besides a routine reply USCIS is used to. This is not the first time that somebody is bothering them in their leizurely work. If they have tons of filings all over their offices, how do you expect them to find your case out of them.
USCIS continue to say that they have loads and loads of filings yet to be entered.

[QUOTE=addsf345;726872]I have similar experience. I moved to sunrocket (which is now teleblend) from vonage. I pay half of what I used to pay vonage for same services/usage.
currently teleblend offers $50 unlimited india calling + ofcourse US+canada unlimited. However as now vonage has come up with $25 world plan, I am sure teleblend would come up with something similar soon... may be $20 world plan or so. As they always price it below vonage. Let's hope! competition is good for consumer.[/QUOT
I belive ultimately all the big phone service providers like Reliance, Airtel and Tata will reduce the calling rates to match/beat VOIP providers like Vonage.
This will be the saving grace to keep down the telephone expenses.
