For those who are attending the event, it would be beneficial if someone could provide some tips about moving around DC area/Capitol Hill area for these lobby days. Will there be an IV arranged transportation ?
Appreciate if we could get more details about the planning for these three days.

USCIS has specified that they would have processed all the records into a single database by 29th October.
Does this not mean that there could be a forward movement in the Nov bullietin ?
Based on this (although not sure where USCIS posted this date), the DOS wouldn't be able to use that data till the end of October (at the earliest) or early November (likely). Meaning that the December bulletin (issued ~mid-Nov) might be the one to watch for any movement (forward or backward).

Just because somebody's plans worked well , and some body's wife is happy staying home , all those GC chasers are now fools.
There are areas in USA where there is no appreciation at all in the real estate market , and not everybody is lucky enough to get the jobs immediately after coming on to the bench ., on H1B VISA.
In my opinion , 90% of the people on this forum have got all plans and ideas on what to do if there is no GC.But 100% of the peoples plans will be more successful ..if there is GC in hand.

My I140 is pending at TSC from Apr 2007. No RFE. Called the CS and opened an SR in jan 08 and i got the standard reply. My Attorney opened another SR in May. Hoping to get some information on my case from TSC this time

Additions: from all current categories - may be 25 K in 2 years?
This is the key stat here. It all depends on how many apps that are in the current category now get filed in the next few years. If there are no more new EB applicants, we should see all pending apps to get approved in a year or two max. The 4 current categories now are EB1 ROW, EB1 India/China and EB2 ROW. If there are 140K apps coming in every year from these categories, we'll never see any movement for EB2/EB3. Anybody know the average number of applicants the last few years from these categories? From the recent news, we know that demand for EB1 India and EB1 China has grown substantially. In my opinion, setting a cutoff date for EB1 India/China would be the best thing for USCIS to do now. That will prevent any new visa usage for EB1 India/China and allow EB2 and EB3 categories to catch up.
If they get continus apps from Eb1 in each quater how can they set up cutoff date ? ( I mean their demand with in range of supply ) .. isn't that illegal ?

Did you or someone you know experience such questions at POE for an advanced parole? Or are you just posing a hypothetical?
I have recently re-entered on AP and not a single question was asked. Not only that, I was not fingerprinted or photographed at the counter like a visa holder would be. I was taken to the back office where an agent entered information from my AP into the computer, stamped the AP and gave it back to me. No questions asked. Period. This was at the JFK airport in NY.
Parole is meant to grant entry to resume adjustment of status. Parole is not subject to employment, it is subject to a pending I-485.
If this is a hypothetical from you, then please shake these imaginations and live in peace and enjoy EAD and AP.
Too much thinking and too much analysis has caused this community to revert back to H1 lifestyle and they are not using EAD and AP - ONE OF THE MAIN REASONS why we were all so happy due to 485 filing.

Hi,
I have my I-140 (approved in May 07) approved from my previous employer. I am not sure whether he has revoked it or not. I am now working as full time employee with another company. How can i find out if my I-140 was revoked or not? I am yet to file a New PERM, i already got a PERM denial after joining this new employer :( looks like i have to file one more... This looks like a infinte loop :(

As the report said that there is a possibility that there will be a loss of 40k visas. My question to you is What will be the I485 processing date in the Visa Bulletin if we assume that 40k visas are not loss by the agency. You guess estimate is also fine.
I don't think it will make a huge amount of difference. The visa loss is due to lack of manpower in processing applications. Now there will be even more applications and presumably no extra hands to approve them.

Hi,
After multiple requests to my employer, i finally was able to get a scanned copy of my I-140 approval notice. It's just the approval notice and not the original I-140.
My questions is, is that enough to port my PD in case i want to change my job and switch the company??

I have now PDFs (the articles in this coverage need subscription) for all of them. If someone educates me how to archive them on IV, I can do put them up. I got the pdfs via my institutional subscription. The articles are resourceful, and come with references for further research. The author, Woolridge, seems to be a good person to talk to. If someone wants the articles, email your personal email id and I will send pdfs later this evening.
