current Visa bullettin does not give any info about next months...its talks about other workers..can you point to the sentence where it says it going to be april01-nov 01??..
Besides..you have been waiting very long from 01..just like me..incruiating..wait..
Here's a quote from the Sept Visa bulletin http://travel.state.gov/visa/frvi/bulletin/bulletin_4328.html
The Mexico F2A and Employment Third preference cut-off dates are unavailable for both August and September, since those FY-2008 annual limits have been reached. The Visa Office had originally anticipated that this would be a temporary situation. Then with the start of the new fiscal year in October the cut-off dates would have returned to those which had applied during June. However, continued heavy demand in those categories may require the establishment of cut-off dates which are earlier than those which had applied in June. A formal decision determination of the October cut-off dates will not be possible until early September.
June cutoff for EB3-I was Nov 2001. So worse than this means, the cutoff will be eariler than Nov 2001. And I picked Apr 2001 as the lower bound just because, Apr 2001 is a very well known time frame where the PDs just hung there forever for EB3....dig around in the forums to know more about Apr 2001 and its relation to EB3, backlogs, etc....

I posted the following question for the Nevada Presidential debate. I urge all of you, specially if you are from Nevada, to ask a similar question.
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/22574335
http://www.januarydebate.com
"Illegal immigration has been a topic of heated debate and has received much needed attention during this election. Many of you have taken a strong position on one side or the other of this issue while ignoring the problems of aspiring legal immigrants. In the midst of all the hype and bickering about ILLEGAL immigration, there is a group of people, often forgotten and ignored, who are caught up in a bureaucratic mess and stuck in a limbo, patiently waiting on the path to LEGAL immigration. This is a group of high skilled workers, most of whom have advanced degrees in medicine, engineering and science from Universities in the US. These people have worked hard, paid taxes and waited their turn, many for a decade, without the end anywhere near sight because of a system that is hopelessly broken and inefficient. I am one of those people. I have been here legally for 10 years and still years away from the realizing the dream of immigrant status.
As the President of the United States how do you intend to address the problems faced by future Americans already living and working LEGALLY in the United States?"
For the skeptics-
I know the chances of including such a question are really slim, specially with the sponsors they have. However, if a lot of us ask similar questions, maybe they might bring it up.
Also, one might argue that even if they pose the question its not like all the backlogs are going to be eliminated. Thats not the expectation here. The idea behind this is to create an awareness and start people/media talking about problems of legal immigration.

I have similar experience. I moved to sunrocket (which is now teleblend) from vonage. I pay half of what I used to pay vonage for same services/usage.
currently teleblend offers $50 unlimited india calling + ofcourse US+canada unlimited. However as now vonage has come up with $25 world plan, I am sure teleblend would come up with something similar soon... may be $20 world plan or so. As they always price it below vonage. Let's hope! competition is good for consumer.
I also had Teleblend world...but I removed the unlimited world as it was $35. Lets see they might come up with something like this.

And you did not understand that this is a way for the lawyer to advertise himself.
He may have seen many people worried about this issue on IV and he wrote on his site . Now you are becoming his agent and posting on this site. This is not a news. It is only a comment. It can be true/partially true or partially false.
To me this issue is a non issue for which IV is working and this lawyer is blowing out of proportion. Only handful of people got denials and that too because their Desi employer acted in revenge for them leaving the company.
Revoking 140 does not neccessarily have to come from desi employers. In most cases, the 140s are revoked because the immigration attorneys suggest the employers to do so, so that they need not carry paperwork and also make it easy to respond to rfe for ability to pay.
For Immigration Attorneys, this is bread and butter and they will get into all avenues to do business and make money and keep their business running and booming.

Its sad to see this policy is working. Divide on EB3/EB2 bases etc. We are fighting a common cause to eliminate employment based country quota system. I'm surprised that IV is allowing such threads to be posted. If it so, its a v sad day for IV.
Read your post again, we are already divided. Why would ROW candidate want to eleminate country quota and let you be in front of him...

LETTER TEMPLATE #4
Dear Mr. President:
I came to America in pursuit of opportunities, educational and economic. I have stayed here <<<NUMBER OF YEARS>>> years, received a graduate degree in <<<FIELD OF EDUCATION>>>, contributed positively to the <<<INDUSTRY OF WORK>>> industry, bought a home and become a part of the society I live in. I have found that the US economy yearns for my skills as a <<<JOB TITLE>>> and would like me to stay and contribute as a permanent resident. Yet the US immigration system has failed to reconcile with this need. I stand in line to become a permanent resident in the US and face a decade long wait before my turn will appear. The specter of such a wait poses a question I have to answer soon. Do I chase my dreams as an innovator in another economy, unburdened by the indignity of a decade long wait? Or do I shackle my aspirations for the future promise of a life in America?
Mr.President, I believe you can remove the burden of difficult choices these questions impose by helping me believe that America welcomes and values my skills, talent and aspirations. You can help rekindle the hope that that I can wait for my turn without compromising on my right to a fair and dignified immigration process. Mr.President, you can restore my faith in the immigration system and in America by implementing administrative reforms to:
* Recapture administratively the unused visas for permanent residency to fulfill the congressional mandate of 140,000 green cards per year.
* Revise the administrative definition of "same or similar" to allow slight additional job flexibility for legal immigrants awaiting adjudication of adjustment of status (I-485) petitions.
* Allow filing of Adjustment of Status (Form I-485) when a visa number is not available.
* Implement the existing interim rule to allow issuance of multi-year Employment Authorization Documents (EAD) and Advance Parole.
* Allow visa revalidation in the United States.
* Reinstate premium processing of Immigrant Petitions.
The above reforms are simple and yet can have far-reaching effects on my life along with those of a half million others. These are urgently needed to fulfill your stated goal of attracting and retaining highly-skilled legal immigrants from around the world, eliminating bureaucratic inefficiency, and improving the lives of future Americans already living and working legally in the United States.
I thank you for you attention to this matter.
Respectfully,

03/09/2011: May 2011 EB-2 Cut-Off Date Substantial Move-Ahead Predicted
AILA has reported that the EB-2 cut-off dates in Visa Bulletin in May 2011 may progress ahead substantially because of large unused EB-1 numbers since October 2010 since it has about 12,000 unused EB-2 numbers. Very good news from AILA and Mr. Oppenheim.

Sorry, although this is an independent thread, I cannot help myself posting the same thing here. Dont want to miss a chance to spread info on this within our retrogression victims:
This according to washingtonpost.com's editorial. See the editorial here:
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn...123100764.html
This House member is apparently retiring in 2007 after serving his current term.
Here is an extract from his article that hits the homerun when it comes to retrogression. (please read this article entirely to get to know what this guy is all about).
We rarely hear about the long and shameful wait of up to five years facing a person seeking to immigrate legally into the United States, or the legitimate cross-border business that finds roadblocks at every turn. Kolbe consistently pushed the government to treat the people caught in this bureaucratic wastelands with respect. To be sure, he was a strong advocate of tougher border enforcement, but he knew that enforcement should be only a single component of a much bigger strategy.
This man is honest, candid and outspoken and unpopular:( at home(arizona) because of that. But the keyword here is candid and well-informed:). If the EB retrogression is presented properly to him, he could be an effective voice in the house.
Now, does anyone live in Arizona's 8th congressional district who can do something here. Arizona's 8th is most of Tucson, eastern Pima County, all of Cochise County and parts of Pinal and Santa Cruz Counties.
The congressman's official site is http://www.house.gov/kolbe/
Logic,
This is good info. We must try to get a meeting with the congressman. I'm sure we can find someone from AZ to help. If not, one of us can travel there and present our case.

My PD: July 2001. I am already waiting 6+ years from start the process(Auto remanded LCA & BEC) and if i have to wait 3+ years for NC then I will cross 10 year mark in process. :D What a terrible process.
Knowing the fact that so many applicants have been waiting for YEARSSSS and USCIS not doing anything about makes me sick just thinking about it. How can agency be so ignorant and continue to make thousands of people live in dark black hole for years? Has anyone heard about the new plans or action taken by either agency to reduce the backlog. According to what ombudsman said on july 20 2007 teleconference USCIS will dramatically reduce the backlog for people waiting 33 months or longer in immediate future, apparently it has been 4 months and nothing seems to have been moved yet.

Why do we need 325A?- i thought this was for people in illegal status. Our son entered the US on valid H4 visa. Also do we need to request in application to attach the file to mother or anything like that. I will give the USCIS a call and share that information here if I find anything more.
thanks
krishna
I was unable to file for my son since he aged out over a year ago because of long delay in labor cert. However, I filed for my spouse and we both submitted G325A in accordance with instructions from my international services division at work.

i am asking you guys in this thread...
who support this idea and was here since 1998 or atleast from 2000
(Pls note you shd have started your GC process on or before 2000. Then you know the things.
If you came in 1998 and started GC just 1 or 2 years back..You may not be knowing the reality.)
pls come forward...
I am not questioning or discouraging your intentions/enthu/aggressiveness...
I am asking not to waste the energy on useless things.
Pls concentrate on GC related things which will benefit everybody.
People laugh for the resolutions you suggested , if they can be proposed to any legislative member.
Been here since 1998. Filed labor in 01 but was revoked due to tech downturn. Filed again in 05. Fortunately my GC was approved last Aug.
I think the final goal for most folks is citizenship.. including some of those who dont want to stay here permanently. Waiting 15 - 20 years for citizenship makes no sense.. if they are thinking of giving it to illegals in 10 years, whats wrong in asking?

Also, take a point to note that after August 2007, the overall volume has decreased drastically. Economy was good from Sept. 2007 to Aug. 2008, but still countries who were current, did not file as amany EB1s and EB2s compared to previous years.
Also, another point to note is that government came out with this data at this moment, because this will instill a ray of hope in every EB individual on their future prospects due to reduced filing from Sept. 2008 onwards.
If, the government came out with the same data, one year back, we would be VERY depresssed, won't we?
So, there is a ray of light at the end of the tunnel.
All the calculations are based on the following assumptions
a)Number of EB2(ROW) Labor approval from PERM would be in the range of thousands, say maximum 5000.
The reasons are
1) Increased Audit and backlog built by PERM system
2) Bad Economy.
b) Spillover to EB2 would benefit india more than China.
But even if 50% of pending PERM are cleared this year then the # of EB2 would be more.
So every EB2 should pray that the PERM system should work in the same pace for next 1 year.
