Dear Attorney,
I was hoping you could help or answer this question.
My GC was approved last month after a very long wait time. Currently I am working for company B on EAD (not the GC filing employer). The question I had was can I continue to work for company B on a part time basis and join company A (GC filling employer).
Company A has a 9 month probation period I am worried if i quiet company B and company A fire me later then I will be with out job.
So I can work for company A (GC filing employer) full time and at the same time work part time with company B.
So this way if company A does fire me during probation period I continue with company B on full time basis.
Is this ok will it come to haunt me when I file for citizenship?

I agree with you 100%, this change was made by Congress in attempt to reduce the backlog.
Think about it in terms of Congress, it was under a lot of pressure from high skilled workers and from companies like Google and Bill gates who argued for more number of visas. No offense to any EB3 category, but we all know, EB2 are the ones which have earned a higher skilled education from this country.

U.S., now will see a reduce in backlog.
This recent change in the flow of visa numbers, acknowledges all these problems. We all know, who ever takes over the next presidential elections, will not issue something right away, it will take a few months.
This change buys time and greatly reduces the backlog among EB2, eventually for Eb3 as well. The new process makes much more sense and I don't think this change will revert to its original movement (back to vertical flow)

I wish India allows absentee ballot.
The way things are right now, as NRIs, we can't even register ourselves in the electoral rolls even if we want to plan a trip to India to conincide with election time.
You can register to vote as long as you have a permanent address in India, which is pretty much anyone except a US citizen. Voting itself is inconvenient as you have to travel to your constituency for that.

I have no problem with any individual but I hate my ex employer and their class ( in no uncertain terms ). I was earning for them , but he and his wife used to behave like big boss to me.Why I shed no tears for them. They think themselves as Ambani but will not hire few good marketing folks who can bring projects from direct clients. There business model is like the following example ( joke ). A bihari gone to punjab and started working for sardarji for food and shelter.While he asked the sardarji for food , he said go that building eat as much you want and take this tifin box and pack some food for me too. Just tell them that I have sent you . After some time Bihari came to know that it was Gurudwara and food was lunger. I consider these body shop no different then that Sardarji. Opening a co ( body shop ) requires phone and outlook. WOW. The h1b rules allow a space for them. With this new rule , they are gone for good. Let me make it very clear , I hate body shopper . It is mere chance that they are from particular state. I fully sympathize with all H1B holder and again let me insist all deserving H1b people will be better off with this memo. Let me quote a line from Ghalib " Jis diye me tel honge , rah jayenge bus wohi ".

Hey...No one can predict anything about Aug and Sept. You just have to wait till you get your LC and then check where dates are and file accordingly. There is nothing you can do about it, so relax and don't worry too much.
If it makes you feel better, then people from 2001/2002/2003 are still still in line. You are lucky at least you have hope that you can file 485 if you get your LC in time.

The spillover magnitude and volume really holds the key to our future, does a quarterly spillover work out better for us, does it help generate more numbers? Looks like the spillover last year was random, how do we explain the date going back to 01-JAN-2000 for sometime before bouncing back? Looks like things are on solid ground this time as unlike the previous years as we did not see a rollback of dates in the Oct bulletin.

Visa numbers can retrogress in the middle of a month and become unavailable without prior notice. If there is a mid-month retrogression, USCIS could elect to stop accepting adjustment applications. Is there any proof that there are even are unused visas? I find this topic a rather moot point.
With India, China, The Philipinnes and Mexico all being oversubscribed, they appear to be reaching their 7% limit. With all the countries in ROW I doubt if any one country is even vaguelly reaching their 7% limit.
With the obvious retrogression across the board, it just tells me that there isn't anything spare to share around in whatever direction.
Am I just totally missing the point?!

Seriously I don't care - my personal opinion that in this particular case it is none of our ( India's ) business to meddle in Sri Lankan affairs when they are on the verge of getting rid of a menace they have . People should post only after reading complete SL history and how minorities were suppressed. One point of time GOI supported and funded and trained LTTE. The problem for India as well as Sri Lankan Tamils is lack of strong/tough/clever leader like Indra Gandhi. The problem for SL tamils are the "ego" of Prabakaran. He himself wants to be a only leader and not yielding to anyone and not willing to compramise. The LTTE is necessary evil to solve this issue. Without them, one can not find a peace solution. Though, they did lot of mistakes and criminal activites, they needed in negotiation. All political parties in TN and GOI is playin drama in view of election. It is so pain to watch the situation of the innocent peoples trapped in this war. If India, would have stepped in long back, lot of innocent lives would have been saved.

Here are some avoidance techniques, but you need to be ballsy to pull them of and never exceed the limits of decency and you must have a sense of timing and humor to do these. I have used these techniques myself for avoidance
1) Stare at his wife or sister and constantly compliment their looks, cooking, chai etc
