Completely agreee with hari_baby22. Couple of days back I posted that immigration voice could get a lot more donations if they publish there earnings/expenses report online and make everything transparent. Lot of people including myself, do not contribute because they dont know how funds are getting used. My post was deleted by administrator and I got following message -->

Information is power. I also think not many people at IV will like the idea of writing to Indian newspapers. We shouldn't feel ashamed. Someone has to start somewhere.

Thank you for your advice. My last M.Sc. and Ph.D. is from the USA. My Ph.D. is about manufacturing of aircraft brakes with Honeywell.
EB1-B or EB-2 is more suitable for me?
what bothers me is that I am not cited in the literature yet and I do not have awards.

Your situation is slightly different than many I have come across. If your qualifications, research work, project etc have unique qualities, then you may still have a fighting chance. But you may have to do a lot of homework: find out NIW holders in your / related engg field, ask a few lawyers: do not believe right away if somebody promises they could, try to enroll in as many professional associations as possible, enlarge your skill portfolio etc.
BTW, is any degree of you from US?

I look for a help in terms of clarification for birth cert,,
1. Born in 70 but my birth was registered in 2005 when I wanted a birth certificate, BC issued in aug 2005 and says registered in 2005. Is it ok I use them or I need an affidavit also from my parents?
2. There is one letter written wrongly in my name.. can i send or get a new one??

1st question). As per immigration rules,if ur birth is registered on or after 1year of ur birth till date,u got to submit two additional sworn affidavits along with the birth certificate as proof.
So in ur case since ur birth was registered in 2005 and got a new birth certificate in 2005 u need to submit the following :
Birth certificate(which u have now with u..issued in august 2005)

Two sworn affidavits from any two blood relatives(mom,dad,siblings,aunt,uncle) older and get notarised
by any attorney/magitrate.The following is the format.

I __________________ (name) being the _________________ (relationship father, mother, sister, brother, aunt, uncle), to ______________ (FN name), reside at ___________________ (address, including country), do hereby solemnly affirm and state on oath as follows:

Being pixel art.. I'm guessing 6-8 hours... Wow.. It's impressive..
As for beta.. Yours is also great.. I chose Soul's for the idea.. More depth..
Still better than I can do with pixels.. I don't have the time to dela with em.. And I would just get frustrated..

Citizenship comes 5 years later, if one's interested (and may not be everyone's goal).
Singing a country's national anthem is also different than taking the pledge of allegiance (the latter means you are pledging your loyalty to the United States):

Hello Gurus,
My I-140 was recently approved. 140-485 filed concurently in July 2007. I have a new job offer and plan to use AC21. However I am worried because the wages at new job would be significantly higher than the old job. There are two reasons for the big difference
1-Desi employer v/s corporate employer
2-Dallas v/s New York
Any comments from people who have faced similar situation will be highly appreciated.

I would say...do not lose heart. I hope your case gets resolved soon. My friends who have gone for stamping lately have faced such problems. Almost all of them....one in Delhi consulate, another in Kolkata and another in chennai. they got 221g and had to over stay their vacation. But eventually all three of them could make it at the end. As long as you are able to provide all the docs they ask for, you should be good.

Yesterday, I felt proud to be part of a crowd that is so dedicated, selfless, hardworking, fearless, educated, discplined, understanding!!

People were thrilled to finally see/meet Aman. He deserves the respect he gets from IV members!
I could go on and on......I have so much to say! Will continue the story in my next post.
Thank you all, for helping me out with everything. We were like a family...looking out for each other. I really felt sad when I was coming back from D.C. Is there a way, all of us can stay there in the White House :)

I barely kept it together! I strongly oppose :)
Just waiting for my flight back now - its been an experience of a life time. I have done things in the last 4 days I never thought I'd experience.

That is a sociological topic not immigration one. A person making his choice to try to settle here in USA or in India has nothing to do with this website. This website is for people who have already made a conscious decision to try to settle down here and obtain the Greencard asap which is the first step in that direction.
Making a choice between USA and India is something you have to do before you decide to contribute or join this organization.

The IV is about issues/problems of employment based immigrants, and the goal is to get support as much as possible from every corner in this country to further the cause. Everyone who supports this cause fit in to some category (within legal limits - pro, anti, this group, that lobby, this ethincity, that nationality, etc.), and that does not mean we are promoting something or have preferences for a group. In my opinion any support (with in the legal framework) to the cause of IV from any corner in this country is welcome and should be appreciated.

nope i did not submit exp letters cos my attorney said it was not needed bcos the LC did not say anythin about experience.
i mean it did say about my previous exp but the position for which the LC was certified did not need exp.. thats how the govt off advertise it seems.

Good that you have paid off your car loans. So now save for emergency instead of paying off your home loan early. Not a financial advisor but I think that's the most logical thing to do now when things are not that rosy.
