Taking a benefit of one group, then distribute the pain across the board is not fair to ROW applicants. This is not the solution. You cannot say to us ROW people that we don't understand the fustration of waiting for our GC as well.
I think its ridiculous that some family takes up to 4 GC from the EB GC pool, why don't you make a petition to state that only EB GC goes to EB primary applicant while your family takes up family based GC. Unless your wife and kids are hired to work as the rest of us, them taking EB based GC is unfair to the rest of us who don't have a family.If you petition to eliminate country EB GC only to the primary applicant, then fine....i am all for it, but if you add your wife and kids to it, i say no.

I am amazed to see these new born baby members cropping up these days from nowwhere questioning IV. No wonder we are popular and feared by anti immigrants. I know at least one person ( US citizen) who decided to be on unemployment benefits rather than working even though he can find at least 2 jobs. He says it is better to be on unemployment benefit rather than working for the same amount of money.

Although USCIS does not report to Congress, USCIS merely implement the laws created by 100 Senators and 435 House members. Our anger towards USCIS is mis-directed. The anger and focus should be on the Congress to pass the laws that will fix green card wait time.

They wasted 580 EB3 India visas last year (2009).
Total available EB3 India GC Visas per year: 2802
Used: 2222

No disrespect meant but what's this? Faux News? As per the law, there is no quota of 2802 green cards for EB3 India. Its a ceiling not a quota. The difference is with ceiling of 7% USCIS can allocate lower number than 7% of 28.6% of 140,000 to EB3 India. If it would be 7% quota, then it would be fair to ask for our "right" for another 580 more green cards. That's why this is not real information, its Faux news.

On hindsight i belive this bill would help clean the H1B system currently abused by many bodyshops.
It would pit lot of controls on these numerous small time companies who just file H1B's on the first day..get people on bench and wait to place them in big companies for a huge money.
This leads to lot of people not getting a chance to filre H1B even though they have good offers from fortune 500 companies.
I feel we should give credit to these 2 for coming out with this bill.

As per my lawer this is not a right time to port your date to EB2 as at this moment nobody knows anything and there are very least chance for eb2 to move forward.:cool: as per her now eb2 is more crowded than EB3 that's why it became UNavailable. It's just a suggestion keep yourself with same EB3 or EB2 whatever you have otherwise I know one frined he ported his July2001 to EB2 and at this time EB3 is current for this date although eb2 unavailable

I think you don't understand. USCIS has no control over the Visa bulletin. The reason India EB3 is doomed because of the percountry limitations set by DOS.
Congress need to change that rule not USCIS.

I feel this move is to benefit EB-2 China, Since the EB1 and EB2 overflow are evenly distributed across china and india, ...
As I understand overflow is not supposed to be evenly distributed. It is supposed to be distributed based on PD. So overflow make PD of all the countries taking benefit of overflow same.

Its expensive but no other option. Or post your issues in their web site or Ron gotcher's web site. He might be able to guide you in this.
