I regularly visit IV and to my dismay "July 2 filers - Receipt Tracking" thread stays in the top 5 updated threads throughout the DC rally planning period. Many people on this tracking thread are not seen on any other thread :confused:
Previously those people were on VB thread ... now those people have got a promotion... those people are now on tracking thread:(
Simmer guys - sorry to cause ripples here.
By "those people" I mean the people that come to the forums only to either track which mail room boy signed for a package, or argue about who bad the inactivity of movement on a Priority Date movement would be.
"Those people" are not here to contribute, they aren't here to help anyway. They aren't interested in meeting their lawmakers, or attending a rally.
In all honesty, "those people", who are busy tracking not predicting probably don't give 2 hoots about bulletins anymore, they are content with 10 years of EAD / AP renewals but doing nothing to change that.

Seems like we missed a golden opportunity in this bill. Is this the must pass budget bill? or related to troops in Iraq? I am suprised to see that this went completely under radar. I will write to my senators to thank them for the support (though it failed its nice to see their support).

I am so intrigued by this whole affair � I am not going to comment on USINPAC, however, I know Robinder Sachdev personally and can vouch for him and let us get things clear � about Robinder Sachdev. Guys, this guy is an asset for any team. How many of us know his name�versus others you know? I do not mind going out on a limb for Robinder as a person � all you need to do is read what he writes. There are very few, if any, maybe a total of 4 or 5 people, in the US and India, like Robinder who understand the business, strategic affairs, and politics between the US and India; and the complexities of the relations and the peoples in both countries; and the issue of Indians in America (which means Indian Americans, GC applicants, and also H1 workers).
Robinder will be the last person to seek any publicity out of this. Let�s get all the help that we need from this very influential and highly networked individual for our current and future print and visual media initiatives from Robinder who genuinely believes in the cause and wants to help IV.

It's still regarding I-140 application.....I wanted to ask you if you need all employment letters that are written on Labor Ceritificate..or is it enough to submit only a few not all the employment letters for every job that was written on Labor certificate?

At this point, I am hoping USCIS will at least allow me to change jobs (remember - I am on 7th year H1b - approved I-140, did not apply for I-485 due to retro). some members here said this is possible and some other members said I cannot do this. so I am confused if I can do this or not. If at all USCIS lets me do this, it would be great if I can find a new employer who can do EB-2. I am praying to God to help me while I try this route. I am not asking too much here... am I ?

It shows that the interpretation of law is not same everywhere.
some people get it easily and some dont. Bridgeport, CT DMV is very crowded most of the time and tough to get things done. There are a lot of people of a kind that come there and it is tough. you must try Westport etc kind of areas next time.

I am now in NYC and have to get NY license and just to play it safe , am planning to get the license when I get my h1b 3 year extension which will be applied sometime beginning next year.

Thanks for your feedback. We dont have valid H1B stamp on the passport although we have a valid H1B approval. My wife needs to go for stamping.
My question is, Can I enter thru AP after a 4 week period whereas my wife can apply for a H1B visa at US consulate and enter using the stamp on her passport. I would be using H1B and working for GC sponsoring employer and wont use EAD during this period.
If you use AP to enter you will not be in H1B status but you will get Parolee status. If you enter using a valid h1b stamp, you will get into h1 status. Your spouse cannot get h4 stamp based on your parolee status but can get h1 stamp based on her own h1 petition.
It is also possible to be in AP status and use the H1 petition to continue working for the h1b employer. EAD is just a work authorization and is not mandatory in this case. Check this link for more information:

Its a good move, I know that this initiative was started by an Officer from US Army whose interpreter was getting death threats for helping the US. When he saw that it was not an isolated incidence he started lobbying the state department to create a separate category. I have been following that story for a couple of months, but was not aware that a bill was passed to create a new category or visas. (i am sure, that USCIS cannot take a unilateral decision to add more visas or else why would we be begging for recapture bills)

I agree, FP does not have anything to do with namecheck. I never received my FP for 15 months but inbetween when I took infopass - it was confirmed that my name check was done
I was under the same impression that it was FP that triggered the name check. But this is what the lawyer told them that their names were struck in NC and that is why they never got FP and now that NC is over they received FP notices. The interesting part is that within 3 weeks of FP one person got a notice that his application has been sent to USCISlocal office for further processing which I assume means interview notice in few days.
